Random stuff going on in my noggin!!

Well sometimes I just like to rant about random things. Today is one of those days, so without further ado....here I go!!

- Was watching the G4 video game channel the other night and they had tons of coverage of the E3 (Electronics Expo) convention and Nintendo revealed that they are redoing the ol' school N64 shooter classic "Goldeneye". I got very excited about this because I remember about 11-12 years ago spending many a night with friends getting drunk and playing Goldeneye multi-player til the wee hours of the morning.
However when Nintendo revealed the trailer with footage I was immediately disappointed. Nintendo didn't bother cleaning up the graphics at all!! I was shocked! It looks like absolute shit compared to the games of today. They also now have Daniel Craig in the role of 007 as opposed to Pierce Brosnan. This doesn't make sense especially since Daniel Craig's 007 was a "reboot" of the franchise, yet they have him battling old school villians like Odd Job and Jaws.
Nintendo should take this one back to the drawing board!!

- Dear Hollywood,

PLEASE STOP MAKING EVERY SCI-FI,HORROR,FANTASY, AND CARTOON IN 3-D!!!!! Jesus this needs to stop! Not every film warrants it and every studio is just tacking it on at the last minute to films that don't need it. Also this makes ticket prices go up, which are already ridiculous enough as it is!!

- The WWE is in desperate need of an overhall! I once was a huge World Wrestling Federation fan. What I feel that owner Vince McMahon needs to do is just trim the fat off and just have one brand! Have a pay-per-view to have a unification match of the titles. This wrestling fed has been in a major slump for about 3-4 years now. I hope they will pull out of it sooner than later.

- I am starting to have hope in the karaoke scene in Whatcom County again!! It's in large part do to IBDJ Mobile Media and the rockaroke group "The Uncanny Valley". These guys have fun shows that are packing people in because whatcom county karaoke fans are sick and tired of a certain karaoke group that has been giving karaoke a black eye in the area. (blunt hint here...there name is based on a popular film franchise of the 80's) Kudos to Tim and Dave for stepping up to the plate and making me love karaoke in whatcom county again!!

Well this is all the ranting I want to do for now. Hope those of you that read these puppies enjoy it!!

Cheers
Stephen

I still haven't found what I'm looking for

Why is it so damn hard to find a decent woman in the area?? It just seems that when I do find someone of interest they are half a country away! I am really good guy with lots of great qualities that I could offer a woman. I know I have a couple strikes against me- I'm overweight, which repulses a lot of women, and I don't make boo-koo bucks. I know being a single dad scares alot of women as well but I wouldn't trade being a dad for anything!!
I want to find someone who I can feel relaxed with and tell them my problems and feel trust with and them with me. I want someone whom I can be goofy with and charm them with my voices and humor.I want someone to watch b-movies with and laugh and comment throughout the movie. Someone to hold and kiss and just that inner glowing feeling that things are good!
I don't know if a "soul mate" really exists.... I know some will disagree with me but I am just saying this from experience. I thought that I had found my soul mate before but she ended up nearly killing my heart!! I would love to someday in the near future say without a shadow of a doubt that I have found mine...We shall see.
Anywho some friends have asked me lately why the gloomy posts...well friends this is the reason. I honestly don't know if anyone at all reads my blogs. I never get any feed back from them at all. Perhaps this is just a pointless exercise that I do....I don't know. To those who do read my blogs I truly want to say thank you for taking the time out of your day to read what I have to say. I may not be a famous writer or poet, but I think what I have to say is important.

Thank you!
Stephen
